Introduction

The word Ofum translates to whirlwind in the generalized dialect of the Cross River State peoples stretching from the Bekwarra in the North to the Efiks in the South. Ofum was conceived primarily as a choreographic representation of the virtues of the Ofum society whose membership was reserved for individuals of Cross River State extraction.
